Curly Hair Is beautiful!

One thing I always heard about curly/biracial hair is that you are only supposed to clean it as soon as a week, with the exception of a CO wash one day every week if needed. I began following that ‘hair rule’ around the time C turned 3 and stopped getting food and play-doh, and many others. caught in her hair everyday, forcing me to clean it more often.
The thing that acquired me eager to throw out our washing schedule is this one easy cause- C’s hair is hydrated and healthy wanting when it’s freshly washed! I used to assume that it was gross not to wash your hair everyday or at the least every other day! So that was how often I washed C’s hair. After i washed C’s hair on a regular basis/each other day, it appeared and felt much more moisturized and healthy than it has been since I began the once weekly washing schedule.
Currently I’ve been wondering if this is absolutely the ‘proper’ approach to scrub hair, and have been enthusiastic about changing my washing schedule. I decided to do some research before I start C’s new washing routine, and here’s what I came up with..
Excessive washing of hair causes hair loss/dryness
FALSE: Frequency of washing doesn’t harm hair. Wash it as often as you want, though the suggestion is 3 times every week. The correct shampoo in your hair sort and texture will truly add moisture, physique and beauty to your hair.

I actually discovered several articles saying the identical thing, and I have determined to change C’s routine, no less than for this week, and see the way it goes.
I washed C’s hair last evening (Sunday) and this morning it still regarded beautiful and moisturized. By the tip of the school day, it nonetheless regarded good.
*I let C have her hair down as soon as every week (I prefer to do it Monday’s since her hair gets washed Sunday nights and that’s when her hair looks its best!) So I’m thinking this will work finest if I keep her hair half down or partially down this week.
For this week, C’s hair routine shall be this..
CO wash each day and add extra conditioner for a go away in. Spray her hair with Garnier Fructis Triple Nourishing Oil Spray, band up to forestall tangling over night. Freshen her hair each morning by spritzing with water and adding hair lotion. *I’m presently utilizing a less expensive model that I switched again to (because the costly products do no better for C) known as BB Oil Moisturizer. I like this product and I’ll do a review one other time.
*I will be doing the banding to keep from detangling each evening. I all the time freshen C’s hair with water, so I figure I would as properly CO wash! If you don’t already know, CO washing is the place you simply wash your hair as you usually would, besides you only use conditioner and leave out the shampoo.
At any time when I wash or CO wash C’s hair, I do the Tightly Curly Technique. To do a CO wash, all you do is
apply a generous handful of conditioner to your scalp and squeeze it right down to the ends. As soon as it is rubbed into your scalp and squeezed by means of your ends, rinse it out as you’d do the shampoo, all the time keeping your ends hanging unfastened. The conditioner will do what the shampoo would have completed, which is to grab dirt and hold onto it while it’s rinsed away with the dirt.
If you end up completed with the CO washing, you can start the Tightly Curly Methodology. What you do is, first part your hair off into several small sections and tie each part off with a clip or pony tail holder.
What you need to do subsequent is get a couple of handful of conditioner and work it through your hair, one part at a time. This is when i do my finger detangling (pulling apart knots gently with my fingers) After that, I squeeze the hair calmly to work the conditioner in additional, then I pinch off a small amount of hair (about the size of your regular curls or smaller) and clean the conditioner all the way down to the ends. I do this until I’ve gotten by all the hair after which I take all of the sections unfastened and comb with a large tooth comb.
When this is done, you have got several options..

You can choose to band the hair- this is finished by parting hair off into several sections (I often do 8), and add a pony tail holder to the bottom of every section. Then, add another pony tail holder about an inch or so beneath the base pony tail, until you reach the tip. If you’re working with thin hair (like C’s), you should utilize smaller pony tail holders or twist the ends so that they dont tangle. What I prefer to do is tuck the tip below and add it in with the last pony tail holder, so that there isn’t a loose hair at the end.

You might choose to fashion your hair- if you happen to do, I like to recommend that you simply wait until the hair dries barely, after which style with your regular products. If that you must, you may spritz your hair with some water to keep it from drying out whilst you model.

Or perhaps you simply want to let your hair be free! I do this a lot with C’s hair when I need her to wear it down and it helps it to remain looking stunning and hydrated! 🙂

I wont be leaving C’s hair down on a regular basis, I can be doing some simple, low manipulation styles to keep her hair from knotting.

So, that’s going to be C’s hair washing schedule for this week. Hopefully we can stand up early sufficient to have time for a photograph every morning!
